Breakfast Downtown Denver

There are a number of great restaurants that you can go to for breakfasr whether you are visiting or working downtown. They range from quick eats to sit down brunches at some of the best restaurants in Denver.

Sam’s #3 – 1500 Curtis St,Denver,CO 80202 (303) 534-1927 Map To Location

Sams #3Sam’s #3 is an old standby for brunch or breakfast in Denver.  Just be prepared to wait because they are usually busy.  It may take a bit to get seated and the rooms are a little loud but the food is great and it’s priced pretty reasonably. The other thing is thing parking sucks in this area so this is a great place to eat if it’s within walking distance for you.

Swifts Steak House – 930 Santa Fe Dr, Denver, CO 80204  (303) 623-9743 Map To Location

Swifts Steak HouseSwifts has been around for years and still serves the same food in the same greasy spoon atmosphere.  Regulars have been going there for years and many of the waitresses have been working there for as long.  Don’t look for healthy food here but the green chili is pretty good and I love their breakfast burrito’s.  Service is always fast and the prices are pretty reasonable.

There are places for fine dining, those that specialize in serving healthy food, fast food spots for grab and run eats, and greasy spoons. Some of the places that specialize in breakfast and lunch meals are Snooze, The Delectable Egg, bagel shops like Bites and Breugers Bagels. There are full service restaurants that serve breakfast lunch and dinner like Sams #3, Dixons, and the Breakfast King.

Annies Cafe – 3100 E. Colfax Avenue, Denver, CO 80206  (303) 355-8197 Map To Location

Annies is another place that has been around for years but serves a variety of greasy spoon and healthier fare.  This location on Colfax is new to them but has the same great feel as their old location.  Parking can be a bit tight but it’s worth the hastle.  The food is great, service is outstanding, and it’s not too pricey.

Many of the sandwich shops have expanded to include breakfast items and a number of these are pretty healthy and inexpensive. Of course there is always McDonalds which keeps trying to upgrade it’s breakfast fare with healthier items like oatmeal and even offering designer coffees.

Several of these are favorites of mine. I like Dixons and always get extremely good food with great service. The prices here are a little higher but it’s a great place to have a business breakfast. Sams #3 and Breakfast King are less expensive and serve pretty good food in a diner atmosphere. Breakfast King has wait staff that has been there forever and I always get good service there. The food there isn’t the best and can be a bit heavy if you are planning on going to work afterward but it’s great for a brunch.

Sams#3 serves consistently high quality food but it always seems a little loud. It serves Mexican and American staples quickly and usually is busy but is a good place to drop by for one of their discount breakfasts during the week or a quick lunch, especially if you are eating alone and willing to eat at the counter.
